The City Hall
The new Iloilo City hall has emerged as a venue for business and government transactions and has served the residents of Iloilo city with utmost convenience and quality service since its opening.
The building was designed as one of the first government green building in the Philippines because of the presence of the solar panels that are being used to light and provide air-conditioning systems to the whole seventh and eights floors of the building. This concept was believed to bring in a lot of savings to the city since it allows the city to save as much as 50 to 60% of the electrical cost due to the presence of the solar panels on the rooftop of the building.
The first to the sixth floor house the offices of the different departments of the government while the seventh floor houses the Mayor's office. The eighth floor is the rooftop and there are several function rooms situated on the floor that are usually used for meetings and other activities. On top of the it all is the Lin-ay sang Iloilo bronze Statue which is believed to be symbol of Iloilo as an independent city.
